Development & Communications Associate

Kara has been part of the Children's Institute staff since 2008. She plays a key role as a member of the Institute's development team by managing grant reporting and supporting other development efforts. She also administers the Institute's online communications strategies through website, mass mail and database management. Kara graduated from Albion College in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in English and German. She is a Girl Scout troop leader, and her work with children in community and school settings won two of the highest awards given by Girl Scouts USA. Kara is an avid hiker and conquered the 2,175-mile Appalachian Trail in 2007.
